Future Sound Of London – Papua New Guinea
I’m afraid we can’t really mention Future Sound Of London without having this – Papua New Guinea is perhaps the pinnacle of their achievement, it appeared on Accelerator and as as 12” with loads of remixes (none of them as good as the original) back in 1992.
People may complain that it’s a bit of an anthem – and so it is – but you’ve got to love the way the bassline and breakbeat wash over the piano and la-di-dah-di-dah vocal. A classic.

Dug Accelerator out – I remembered that Calcium on the A side mixes like a blinder with Rave in Two Minutes. And It still does, I just checked.
