Rahaan – Muzik
Following my links to his oustanding Disco or not Disco mix on the Deep House Page in a previous post, here’s Rahaan with an edit of his very own as released on Jisco Music. It’s a rework of Montreal Sound’s Music which was a huge disco hit in 1977, released on TK Disco which both Kevvy K and I have mentioned before as the home of T Connection and Herman Kelly. That Rahaan had talent was clear from his mixes and his edits do not disappoint. The flip is also awesome where he gets busy with Magic Mandrake by the Sarr Band, another big disco number. Here’s a dj with a love for his material and a knowledge of his dancefloor.
I’ve been resisting the urge to post cheesy Christmas songs til now, but I can’t see how I’ll get through next week without one slipping through. The season to be jolly has to be the ultimate time for guilty pleasures. The other day I gave myself goosebumps singing Last Christmas by Wham on a number 35 bus. I freely admit to this, not just cos my mate Suze was there to witness it, but cos I genuinely do not care that you all know.

Montreal Sound's "Music" was FAB.
And for 20 years I was singing it as "Heeeey, would you like to see the dawn?"
True. Story.
