This track is included on CD2 of Back In The Box as a Joey Negro edit, but this here is the original version from 1988. Of the three tracks I’m posting The Gathering is probably showing it’s age the most… I wouldn’t quite say it’s dated, but it doesn’t sound quite as fresh to me as the R-Tyme and Underground Resistance tracks.
It is undoubtedly a great tune though, and has apparently also been dug out recently by The Glimmers for their FabricLive 31 mix (which I haven’t heard but looks interesting).
The title of the track put me in mind of Highlander… I searched for a good pic of The Gathering of immortals but couldn’t find one… I quite like this one of The Quickening though, presumably just after McLeod has chopped someone’s head off.
