...with some Jungle!

This really is one of my all-time favourite mixtapes ever ever ever.
Consequently it’s seen a lot of action over the years and I’m afraid the sound quality has deteriorated a bit. In fact I haven’t listened to it for ages because I’ve been scared that it would break and be lost forever: the last time I played it in my car stereo the spools seemed to have wound too tight and it kept stopping mid-way through playing. I resolved that the next time I played it would be to make a copy, and my fears were justified as sure enough half way through recording the second side here the tape unwound and got tangled round the playing head; luckily I managed to rescue it, wind the tape back in and rewind to take it from the top again. Phew!
Way back in the mists of time (in Summer ‘94) me and the future Mrs Double K went camping in France for a week. For reasons too boring to go into this was the only tape we had with us; we played it back-to-back pretty much non-stop
all week and never got bored of it (although by day 7 we might have bemoaned the lack of variety a bit!). It still sounds great today, and I still remember every tune coming up and everything GQ says!
I did think twice about posting this – at a total 123MB it’s a reasonably big download and I don’t want to max out our bandwidth – but I just couldn’t resist “spreading the love, peace & unity with some jungle”, and I figure 90 minutes of music is only equivalent to about 8 extended disco mixes, so I’ll just hold off those for a while and we should be OK ;o)
