Noise Factory – Breakage #4
Having just been pipped to the post by Celler Dweller in posting the Brainkillers’ Screwface (I’ve been meaning to post it for a while), I’ve decided to dig out a couple of other choice tracks from the 3rd Party back catalogue.
Each of the Noise Factory EPs on 3rd Party included a “Breakage” track, which was supposedly a remix of one of the other tracks on the EP but which frequently stood up as tracks in their own right. Coming out on 1992’s Capsule EP, Breakage #4 was to my mind one of the first tracks to clearly mark a boundary between ‘ardcore and jungle proper, and it still kicks to this day. Nicky Blackmarket played it when I saw him recently and the crowd (admittedly not a particularly big one but there you go…) went mad for it.
