While we’re on the Northern Soul tip, here’s another favourite. This one is not for the dancers, but I love it for its all out epicness, big horns and building, increasingly impassioned vocals.
Like my previous Mary Love posting, this was also released on James Brown’s King records. It was a B-Side to the better known (and fantasticlally titled) ‘Its My Thing (You Can’t Tell Me Who To Sock It To’)’. This one cost me a fiver, which was money well spent.
