A lovely pair

Second appearance on the pages of DC for Israel-based DJ/Producers Polar Pair- the other being out of sight, posted by Big J, who first put me onto them.
I was looking through stuff on BeatPort (thoroughly recommended source of legal downloads) and decided to look these guys up- and this was what I found- absolute beauty of a track. Remarkable in that it is sharp and smooth, dreamily light and extremely heavy all at the same time.
Malkiel Grossman and Nadav Ravid (the lovely pair in question) have been going for 15 years, and keep it improbably low-key. Possibly too low key really, as it’s very difficult to get hold of or find out much about them or their stuff. As far as I can tell, in all that time they’ve put out three EPs- Cool Panic in 1997; Cresh in 2002 and a couple of tracks on the Tru Thoughts Shapes EP in 2005. They’ve done a bunch of remix stuff n’all (including this little pearler), but even so- either they are ultra-perfectionist about putting stuff out, or they’re really dead lazy.
Either way, whether they want it or not here is some overdue publicity, and a general big up.
