Ron Trent – Making Love

After the Double K posted ‘Altered States’ by Ron Trent a short while ago, I was moved to hunt down a vinyl copy. The original release goes for lots of money, but there’s a great double 12” released by Djax Up Beats that features the original, lots of remixes (including the fantastic Carl Craig mix), and a couple of other tunes, of which this is one.

For me this tune has an air of melancholy that I wouldn’t generally associate with making love, but who am I to argue. The Black Dog Bytes stuff really reminds me of this tune, which Ron Trent released in 1990, while he was still in school. Clever young fella.
