Fast Eddie – Acid Thunder (fast eddie mix)

Another one in lysergic tribute to everyone’s favourite recently deceased psychedelic chemist… this is from 1988 year, which seems to have been quite a frutiful year for this type of year. Fast Eddie was an important DJ in the early Chicago acid scene.. normally I like a bit of a vocal, but in this case, I think that this instrumental version is better for letting the acid intensity rumble along unhindered.

For those of us of a ahem, certain age, a mix that includes this, and a whole bunch of other classics of the era (ie less cheesey things that we’ve been dropping this week) then you should check out Laurent Garnier’s Excess Luggage mix CDs. Wonderful stuff.
