1001 Doves of Peace
2008-05-22 by Mr WoolyCymande – Dove
Well I just got word from Kevvy K that Dilated Choonz has reached 1000 posts and I must say well done to all involved. I don’t post very often but I’m loving the choonage that gets put up here. You guys rock.
And what better way to congratulate the team than with posting a chunk of Cymande. Here’s their uber-hypnotic, ultra soul-fuelled track Dove. It slowly winds its way through a majestic 11 minutes of souled out soothing bliss. I’m a bit surprised that these fellas aren’t better known in the world but I just fully love the emotional depths their music can take me to.
More can be read about Cymande over on Wikipedia and despite them not being so well know, I think you can get their material just about everywhere.
Peace and Love to all,
Mr Wooly

For regular dilate readers, Mr Wooly is the shadowy and elusive ginger ninja and unsung hero who has made all this possible through providing the necessary domain bits, band width, tekkie-know how and the occasional choon or two too.
Thanks Kevvy K – In fact I think it was you that first introduced me to Cymande, back in the Pink House in oh, about 1998.
I just did a DB search and Cymande has only ever had one mention on Dilated Choonz to date. Back in March last year they get a brief ACK in the Prancer posting by Tommy Squeaker.

If it gets much better than this, I don't know about it.
Nice work Hairy one.
Congratulations guys – not just for this achievement, but for the awesome tunes you post xk10k.
I feel cheap to mention that this was sampled by the Fugees, but some listeners may get that niggling feeling if they're hearing this for the rist time.
I also feel I should ask I've you've got the white label re-edit of their "Bra" track. Oh. My. Gosh.
Keep on keeping on, please.
Crops up on one of DJ Yoda's How to Cut and Paste Mixes as well, for a split second
I simply can't remember what life was like before DC. Thank you all so much.
