This is part one of my little tribute to Levi Stubbs who passed away at the weekend. This is my favourite Four Tops track, released in 1967, a cover of a Tim Hardin song. The original is so beautiful I think it was a brave decision by the powers that be at Motown to choose it as a single for a pop soul group. However I feel that the Four Tops make it their own and it has lost none of its beauty.
