Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds – William Shatner

The Dilated Choonz family has today been blessed with another new arrival. The Double K and Andrea have been joined by a daughter, Lucy Ann. I wasn’t sure what to post in honour of this occasion, but having just shared a few brandies with the proud father his preference was made clear to me. Nothing to do with his penchant for psychedelics I’m sure. I hope that the happy parents both enjoy this particularly hammed up version of the Beatles classic delivered by none other than the famous actor, bard and philosopher William Shatner.

Welcome to the world Lucy Ann. I wish you and your Mum & Dad a lifetime of love and happiness together.

    CONGRATULATIONS! Great choice of song… I ended up buying his "Transformed Man" album after hearing this track some years back. There are some other brilliant mangled covers on the album, but none really come close to the brilliance of hearing The Shat's plaintive scream of "now she's GOOOOOONNNNNEEEEEEEEE!!!!"

    Excellent choice of a song…I also have the album of Shatner and Nimoy doing various covers and reading passages of Shakespeare…I like it in a special sort of way.
