Here’s another sample of the kind of thing Underground Resistance (to be specific, Ghetto Tech & Mad Mike here) were producing around the time when 4 Hero were giving them shout-outs on their record sleeves.

Full-on flesh-eating aquatic electro like this certainly doesn’t come along every day – in fact I don’t think I’ve ever heard anything else much that could reasonably be described in those terms. (Although I’m sure P McDiddy could dive into a box of dusty Drexciya 12s at this point to show me what its all about…)

This comes from UR’s Piranha EP – fans of the movie Piranha will recognise the rapid squidgy “nibbling” sound in this track as the terrifying sound of a feeding frenzy. The track on the flip – essentially a shorter mix of this song – is called Come to Detroit and Get Your Ass Bit. Nice.
